Housed in the control box is an electrically operated solenoid which is activated by the probe at limit conditions. It also contains a spark quenching network to increase the lifespan of the switch element housed in the probe. The solenoid may be used to "cut off" or "divert" fuel lines, hydraulic and pneumatic flow lines etc.
